About Me
Based in Toronto, Canada, I am a Technical Project Manager and Software Developer at Rocscience which has been at the forefront of developing industry-leading software tools for civil and mining engineering for over 25 years.
I'm a full-stack developer on three rock engineering software programs, specializing in both the user interface and the underlying physics engines. I use C#, C++, and WPF for coding, and apply knowledge in rotational mechanics, kinematics, linear algebra, 3D graphics, and geometry to solve complex underlying problems.
The programs that I work on are RocSlope3, RocTunnel3 and RocFall3.
Education
I graduated with Distinction from the University of Waterloo's Computer Engineering Co-op program in April 2023.
During my program, I completed six internships across industries like brain computer interface, AI, automotive manufacturing, security, and civil and mining, while also freelancing in fintech and professional training.
I was also involved in clubs like Sigma Chi fraternity (yes, the same one as Brad Pitt), Model United Nations, Improv Club, and served as class representative for 150 students for a year.
Experience
With experience in technical, business, and marketing domains, I bring a well-rounded skill set that enables me to deeply understand companies and align with their vision . Software roles sharpened my technical expertise, while product and sales roles refined my communication skills.

Free Time Adventures
The rapidly evolving tech landscape, new languages, AI, and frameworks drives me to stay hands-on with side projects that keep my skills sharp and current because let’s face it, if I don’t, I’ll be the guy dropping "Quantum ML Distributed Computing" in conversations and hoping no one asks me to explain it.
I also explore a wide range of subjects through books and audiobooks, from philosophy, literature, economics, geography, government policies and their impact on businesses, and the intersection of law and ethics in daily life. This broadens my perspective and helps me develop a unique worldview.
If I could meet anyone from history, it would be Aristotle. His work in rhetoric and ethics has always intrigued me.
Volunteering
Currently working with refugees, I engage in assisting them with job applications, providing education about the process, and facilitating connections with community groups to support their successful integration.
As Philanthropy Chair of Sigma Chi Theta Psi in 2023, I helped raise $10,000 for charity within a week, benefiting the Child Witness Center Kitchener-Waterloo and Huntsman Cancer Research in Utah.
Previously, I was also involved in 2020-21 fundraising for CMHA (Canadian Mental Health Association) and a charity for underprivileged children in India from 2014-18.
Sports
Currently, I play squash year-round and picked up golf in 2024.
During middle and high school, I competed in badminton (District Gold), swimming (District 400m Freestyle Silver), and roller skating (didn’t quite make the podium, but I promise I was fast), and played cricket for leisure with my friends.
Music
I have been playing the guitar since I was 11 years old and was part of my high school band.
During the pandemic, I taught myself to play the keyboard using YouTube tutorials.
I'm open to most genres, but R&B, pop, and jazz are my favorites.
Travelling
I'm a big time hiker and I don't shy away from travelling and exploring new places whenever I get the opportunity. Below are some images from my personal gallery.

Few people can take an abstract assignment and just run with it and produce results. It was a pleasure working with Arnav during his 4-month internship at Rocscience as a software developer. I was the project manager of a new project and worked directly with Arnav on the engine. I was impressed by Arnav's ability to employ outside-the-box thinking to various research and coding components of the computational modules in the engine. He delivered multiple alternatives which were novel, adaptive, documented, and well-tested solutions . He always had a positive attitude toward his work, and colleagues, and was an overall great fit for the company culture. Any project manager would be lucky to have Arnav on their team.

I observed that Arnav was able to apply learnings throughout this term and noticed a measurable improvement in the time management and planning. He demonstrated an outstanding performance while at Acerta.
